Privacy Policy

In short

Sittertipsis a football-predictions site. We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember the premium picks you've paid for, and measure anonymous traffic with Google Analytics. We never sell your personal data, and we don't show you ads based on your behaviour on this site.

Cookies we set

A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. We set two kinds:

Essential cookies

These let the site work and can't be switched off. They're httpOnly(not readable by JavaScript) and signed, so they can't be tampered with.

• authjs.session-token — keeps you signed in after you create an account or log in. Removed when you sign out.

We do notuse a separate “unlock” cookie. Access to premium picks is tied to your account: when you pay, the purchase is recorded against your user record, so it follows you across devices and browsers whenever you're signed in.

Analytics cookies

Set by Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic — but only after you accept the cookie banner. Until then, Analytics runs in a cookieless mode and sends only anonymous pings. If you accept:

• _ga and _ga_<container> — distinguish unique visitors. They last up to 2 years.

Your choice is remembered for 1 year. If you reject, no analytics cookies are ever set.

What Google Analytics collects

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are popular, where visitors come from, and what devices they use. It receives your approximate location (country/region/city), the pages you view, and a random client ID that lets it count unique visitors. IP addresses are anonymized by default at collection, and we've enabled IP anonymization explicitly. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Your account & payments

When you sign up, we store your email address and a hashed (one-way-encrypted) password — never your plain-text password. When you pay for a premium pick, the payment is processed by our payment provider (Flutterwave); we only store a record that your account has unlocked a given prediction, not your card details.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your personal data.
• We don't run third-party ad networks or track you across other sites.
• We don't read your account content to build an advertising profile.

Your choices

• When you first visit, a cookie banner asks whether you're OK with analytics cookies. Reject keeps things cookieless; Accept turns them on. The choice is remembered for 1 year.
• Sign out any time to remove your session cookie.
• Block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site still works — you'll just need to sign in again and re-unlock picks.
• To change your analytics choice, clear the cookie-consent cookie (or your site data) and the banner will reappear on your next visit.

If you're in the EU or UK, you have the right to object to analytics cookies — Reject on the banner (or blocking them above) exercises that right.
